A Closer Look

This is a home that caters for so many styles of living! But we’re sure that most everyone will spend the larger sum of their days out the back. And how couldn’t you with that undeniably tremendous view of the canal that’s been rolled out like a red carpet – inviting you to a magnificent life both by and on the water.

The al fresco area has been smartly placed within the center of the backyard, allowing for optimum space to entertain while being able to deliver the full panorama of the waterway. It adjoins the swimming pool, which has been made secure by glass fencing, so the kids are always well within view when parties and other get-togethers are taking place. The two-tiered lawn areas, leading down to the pontoon, create a dramatic visual effect that gives scope and dimension to the rest of the property’s rear. And yes, I did mention that word ‘pontoon’ for those of you into all things nautical.

If you like getting your hands dirty tinkering with the mechanical, the garage is fantastic and very spacious with a single and double door car entrance. At one stage it housed 8 vehicles! The workbench areas are generous, the skylights and other lighting make it easy to see what you’re working with. It has an area equipped with a sink, bench top and cupboards that could function as a kitchenette. And direct access from the front of the property keeps it separate from the rest of the home, if you were wanting to run a business from it.

Both bedrooms at the front of the property are equipped with; plush carpeting, built in robes, full length mirrors, ceiling fans and bay windows to give that added sense of roominess. One is directly connected to a bathroom/semi ensuite. The master bedroom is finished with hardwood floors and has a lovely outlook onto the backyard and canal. Imagine waking up to that each morning.

There are two living areas, each with its own character. The first you’ll discover as you enter the property and walk past the decorative columns and into it. High angled ceilings and decorative Art Deco wall lamps and ceiling lights make it an impressive space that manages to achieve a balance of class and old-world charm while remaining completely unpretentious. And it’s large enough to cater for both lounging and dining. The living room at the rear has been placed juuuuust right to provide one of the most breath-taking views you could ask for in this part of the Gold Coast. It’s so magical you’ll forgot to even look at the telly.

It’s Location

With Helensvale serving as a transport hub, you’ll find quick and easy access to the M1 Motorway as well as bus stops and a train station in close proximity. You’ll find every convenience you can imagine within a few streets. This was the first master-planned suburb built on the hinterland fringe of the Gold Coast, and it was thoughtfully developed making sure to provide its first residents with a shopping centre, schools, golf course and a bowls club.

Over the years the area has further grown to offer an even greater supply of stores and outlets, restaurants and cafes as well as educational and recreational facilities. The streets of Helensvale are surprisingly tranquil and relaxed, considering that the suburb is also home to a major Westfield Shopping Centre and two of Queensland’s biggest theme parks (Wet n Wild and Movie World, with Dreamworld just down the road in Coomera). There are a number of bikeways that run through the wetland reserve and around the neighbourhood. Helensvale hosts a number of sporting teams (your only choice is whether rugby league, cricket or lawn bowls is more your style), a skate park, tennis courts, and not one, but two golf courses – so you (and the kids) won’t run out of things to do here.
